Sandra Castel is the Analytical Study Manager in the UCT Clinical Pharmacokinetic Laboratory, Division of Clinical Pharmacology, University of Cape Town. She is responsible for the external and internal management of projects conducted within the PK laboratory. The laboratory focuses on the bioanalysis of antituberculosis, antiretroviral and antimalarial drugs and their metabolites in biological samples generated from pharmacokinetic studies, with emphasis on the development of new bioanalytical methodologies to measure HIV and tuberculosis drugs and their metabolites in a variety of biological matrices.
