William A. Murtaugh, MPH

Will’s main area of expertise is in TB diagnostics and testing. He received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Syracuse University and Masters in Public Health with a focus on Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. His background has included laboratory research in HIV molecular virology, as an APHL/CDC Emerging Infectious Diseases public health laboratory training fellow, and as an Public Health Laboratory Program Specialist supporting the training, development, and capacity of US state and local TB laboratories. Will has worked with both the Laboratory Centers since 2015 supporting both IMPAACT and ACTG Network studies.
